Looking Back
In 1981, Ellis-Harper first opened in the upstairs…actually the attic, of a downtown Auburn law firm. Back then, there were drawing boards, t-squares, and presstype. Copy came in early on the overnight Greyhound from the typography house. A typo was cut and pasted—literally, with letters from the duplicate manuscript. What we did, we did with a belief in driving customers to our clients through creative, sometimes outlandish, means. It worked because it was innovative and well-crafted. Even then, we were able to empathize with prospective customers and zero in on them. At Ellis-Harper today, we match the method with the message, whether guerilla tactics, interactive, viral marketing or traditional tactics to create or enhance your brand and build your customer base. Customers continue to go where they are invited, treated fairly and provided with what was promised to them. Customers continue to be creatures of their nature and of their nurture… and of the environment that we as marketers help create with you. We'd be proud to be part of that process for your company.
